Why enable Edge Delivery
- Lower latency, faster search. Requests are answered from a region near the shopper instead of a round-trip to a central server, so instant-search and autocomplete feel snappier.
- Better experience in specific geographies. Pick the region(s) that match where most of your shoppers are — for example Mumbai for India and Toronto for North America.
- Higher engagement and conversion. Faster, more responsive search keeps shoppers browsing and reduces drop-off on slow queries.
- No change to results or setup. Edge serves the same routes, ranking, filters, and merchandising as the default host — nothing about your catalog, configuration, or theme needs to change.
Edge Delivery is currently available in Mumbai (India) and Toronto (North America). Choose one or both depending on where your shoppers are.
How to enable Edge Delivery
1. Open the Edge Delivery card on your dashboard
In the Glood AI Search & Merchandising app, the Overview (home) page shows an Edge Delivery card with its current status. Click Manage Edge Regions to open the setting (or go to Settings → Edge Regions).
2. Turn on Edge Delivery and select your regions
In the Edge Regions section, check Enable Edge Delivery, then under Select Edge Regions choose the region(s) closest to your shoppers — Mumbai (India) and/or Toronto (North America).
3. Save
Click Save. Your selected regions are provisioned and storefront search starts serving from the edge.4. Confirm it is enabled
Return to the Overview page — the Edge Delivery card now shows an Enabled badge. That confirms edge is live for your store. For headless & custom storefronts
If you use the Headless Search API, point your client at the regional edge host (for examplehttps://mum.edge.glood.ai or https://tor.edge.glood.ai) instead of the default https://search.glood.ai. The routes and payloads are identical — see Edge URLs for the full list of hosts and the required Content Security Policy note.
