Chat is the first tab on an agent’s page. You talk to the agent on one store at a time, so it always knows whose data “orders” means, and it answers from that store’s data, showing each step it takes. You need a deployment to chat. An agent that is not deployed yet offers to Deploy instead. See Deploy and set the mode.

Start a chat

1

Pick the store

Talking to shows the store this chat is with. Pick another store to start a new chat there.
2

Ask

Type into Ask … anything, or start from a suggestion: “What needs my attention today?”, “Summarise what you did this week.”, “Why did you flag the last order?”
3

Watch it work

While it works, the answer shows Working. Then Used N tools opens the steps it took. You can leave and come back: the answer appears when it lands.
Past chats are under Chats, split into Today and Earlier, with a search. New chat starts a fresh one on the same store. A paused or stopped deployment cannot chat. Resume or restart it first.

What you can ask

Anything about the store it runs on: what moved and why, what it did last night, why it raised a finding, what changed in the store around a date. It reads the same reports, store change log and findings it uses in a run. You can also ask it to change itself: edit its instructions, add or change a check, attach a skill, pause a deployment, run now, or undo a change it made. See Agent tools for everything it can do.
In chat, the agent can only do what your own role allows. If you could not make a change in the dashboard yourself, the agent cannot make it for you in chat either.
Each message has the same budget as a run: a limited number of turns and tool calls. If a question needs more, ask it in smaller steps. See Budget per run.
